LBGTQ Kids & Teens
Being a lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT) kid or teen can be really tough. Being unsure about it can be just as tough. How do you figure out what sexual orientation and gender identity really mean? You’ve got a lot of questions. You may not have too many people to ask.
Feeling different or confused can make you feel like you’re the only person who is struggling with this.
Being lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or wondering about it is normal and ok.
Some people around you may not share that belief. You may be hearing some pretty negative things about LGBT people. This can be hard, especially because the comments may be coming from people that you really care about.
Hearing these messages can make you feel pretty bad. You may think that you need to hide who you really are.
The good news is, many people around you will welcome LGBT people. You may have a teacher, guidance counsellor, family member, coach, or friend that you can talk to. If you don’t feel alright doing that, you also can get involved in some of the services that OK2BME is offering.
