Coming Out Day

Coming Out Day is celebrated each year on October 11th.

About the Day:

It was founded in 1988 and it recognizes members of the LGBTQ2+ community and the process of coming out.

Self-disclosure about sexual orientation and/or gender identity is a unique and personal experience. Take a look at our pages on Coming Out for Kids & Teens and Coming Out as an Adult.

“When my friend came out, she introduced me to the LGBTQ Community and that’s the best thing that’s happened to me in all of high school.”
