Introducing OK2BHere: A Fresh Look for OK2BME Youth Programs, by Erin Huston

Big things are happening this fall at OK2BME! We’re excited to share that our youth programming is evolving. With updated group times, expanded options, and a new name: OK2BHere.

OK2BHere is a refreshed take on the youth programs you already know and love — not a brand-new program, but a new name and structure that better reflect what youth have asked for. This past June we held feedback sessions with youth in OK2BME programs. Youth shared about safety, community, timing, and what kind of programming they want more of.

This fall, we’re introducing updates to group schedules and formats that make it easier to show up, feel safe, and build meaningful connections with other youth in safer, inclusive spaces.

What’s New with OK2BHere?

  • Weekly in-person groups – one for youth in Grades 6-8 and another for Grades 9-12, allowing for smaller group sizes and more space for building stronger connections.
  • Monthly virtual group for Grades 6–12, offering a consistent option for youth who want to try out or join group from the comfort of their own space.

These updates are all about making it easier for youth to show up wherever they are and however they feel most comfortable. Whether attending in-person or virtually, OK2BHere continues to offer connection, community, and a space to be fully yourself.

We’re excited to launch this refreshed direction in late September and can’t wait to welcome both new and returning youth into this next chapter.
